Raising Children in Korea: A Glimpse into Essential Terms and Concepts

The Korean word for "parenting" is often translated to 육아 [yu-ga], but this Korean term definitely has a much narrower application, because as a parent, you normally don't consider that you are doing 육아 if your child is already a teenager or a young adult. So there are a few ways you can describe it, including 아이를 키우는 것, 부모가 된다는 것, 부모 역할을 하는 것, etc.
